Now in its 14th year, this beloved and heartfelt holiday show delivers a fascinating evening of Irish music, song, dance and stories. Produced by Sligo fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada , the hugely popular production includes some of Ireland’s top traditional performers in a program rich in humour and boundless energy. The 2018 ensemble features guest singer Niamh Farrell,a Sligo vocalist best known for her appearances with David Gray. Onstage she’s matched by legendary West Kerry singer Séamus Begley, as famous for his charming wit as he is for his stunning voice. These two singers alternate with lively instrumental tunes performed on fiddle, flute, uilleann pipes and harp, along with the spectacular old-style dance of Samantha Harvey. Backed by evocative photos depicting Irish winter traditions, the production provides a memorable glimpse into the enchanting spirit of Christmas, as well as a fun-filled, family-friendly start to the holiday season. Says Irish Echo, “It all conveys the spirit of the season with uncommon taste and integrity.” Other critics have called the show “exceptional … captivating … a powerful evocation of the season.” At CSPS the production sells out every year, so avoid disappointment by ordering your tickets today.
